Chic Lesbian Wedding at Canoe Restaurant
If you’re planning a wedding at Canoe Restaurant in Toronto, Nadia and Julia’s day is such a beautiful example of why this venue is such a strong choice for couples who want something elevated, intimate, and easy logistically. Located on the 54th floor of the TD Bank Tower, Canoe has those sweeping downtown views that make a wedding feel instantly special, but it still manages to feel warm and personal rather than overly formal.
The brides were drawn to Canoe Restaurant because it felt romantic, intimate, and classy. One of the things that makes this venue especially appealing is that it’s set up to host both your ceremony and reception in the same place. Canoe has two private spaces as well as a larger dining room, and it offers full restaurant buyouts on weekends, which can make the flow of the day feel much smoother for both the couple and their guests.
That was part of what worked so well about Nadia and Julia’s wedding. Their unplugged ceremony and reception both took place at Canoe Restaurant, which meant there was no need to worry about additional commutes. Their wedding day felt seamless, which allowed for them to feel more present throughout the day. During their wedding ceremony, guests were seated on either side of the brides, which made the experience feel different than other ceremonies I’ve personally witnessed. Absolutely loved the intimacy it created.
Nadia and Julia also really valued having time carved out for portraits of just the two of them. We went to Fieldwork Studio for wedding party portraits as well as couples portraits. It was a beautiful pairing with Canoe, and allowed for more variation while still keeping things artistic and refined.
For couples planning a Canoe Restaurant wedding in Toronto, it’s an especially great fit if you want incredible city views, a venue that can hold both ceremony and reception, and a wedding that feels polished without losing intimacy. Canoe’s private dining and event spaces can accommodate everything from smaller celebrations to larger weddings, with capacities ranging from intimate rooms to full buyouts for up to 135 seated guests
