Destination wedding in Tepoztlán, Mexico
Tucked in a lush valley of Tepoztlán, just 1.5 hours outside of Mexico City, Parcela Restaurante offers a lush backdrop for weddings that’s both intimate and awe-inspiring. Think dramatic views of the Tepozteco Mountains, mouth-watering farm-to-table meals, dreamy light and open-air spaces and gardens that invite movement, conversation and connection. If you’re planning a destination wedding in Mexico and want to get married somewhere that feels intentional, unique and surrounded by nature, Parcela Restaurante is 100% one of the best wedding venues I’d recommend for you in Tepoztlán.
Giselle & Sean’s wedding at this gorgeous venue is one I’ll never forget. It was deeply intentional, heart-centered and beautifully rooted in community. Rather than just being observers, their guests were invited to participate. This made their entire wedding feel like a soulful, collective experience. Their friend Mia opened the ceremony with a singing bowl ritual that grounded everyone into the present moment and instead of a traditional reading of the Jewish Seven Blessings, their closest friends each offered a personalized blessing. It was moving, intimate, and so reflective of who they are as a couple.
And then - after their first kiss - they surprised everyone by performing a song together. But not just any song. They sang Natalia Lafourcade’s version of “Tú Me Acostumbraste,” which, in my opinion, is one of the most romantic songs ever written. I was behind my camera, absolutely bawling my eyes out. It was romantic and completely unforgettable.
Guests flew in from all over—Toronto, Vancouver, Israel, and Mexico City—gathering in this lush mountain town just outside of Mexico City to celebrate love, connection, and intention.
